If you’re unsure whether speech therapy is right for your child, please reach out. We welcome all enquiries and are happy to guide you through the next steps.
No, you do not need a referral from your doctor to book in a Speech Therapy assessment and/or sessions. However, if you have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan from your GP please bring it with you as you may be eligible for up to 5 Medicare rebated sessions per year.
At the moment, there is no waiting time to book in speech therapy. We can schedule you in for your initial consultation immediately!
NDIS Clients
You can use your NDIS funding at our practice if you are a
self-managed or plan-managed participant.
Private Clients
We also see private paying clients where families pay out
of pocket for speech therapy. There are adjusted fee
schedules for our private paying clients, so if you would
like to find out more please do not hesitate to contact
us.
Medicare
We also offer Medicare
rebated sessions for clients that have an EPC Plan from
their GP. You may be eligible for up to 5 sessions per
year. Please note this is dependent on if you are
accessing any other allied health services alongside
Speech Therapy under the EPC Plan. Feel free to contact us
to find out more.
If you would like to understand your child's specific needs in more detail, or if you have not had an assessment done in the last 12-months, then we would recommend completing a comprehensive Speech Therapy Assessment. This is a 2-hr session that is a thorough investigation of your child's communication needs and goal setting for therapy if necessary. It also includes a comprehensive report outlining the results and recommendations. This is also beneficial if your child is accessing other allied health services as well (for example, psychology, behaviour support, occupational therapy, physiotherapy etc.), so we collaborate as a team and understand your child's holistic needs.
